Priyanka Chopra (18 july 1982) born in jarkand spent here childhood in bareilly, uttar Pradesh andcedar rapids, lowa.

Father- Dr. Ashok Chopra physicians by profession, He was in the army and thus her family moved quite frequently. Ashok  hailed from a family of Punjabi origin, settled in Bareilly and her mother comes from a family settled in Jamshedpur.

Mother-  Dr. Madhu Chopra even she is a Physician and from Bihar.
Brother and sister- Brother, Siddharth, who is seven years younger than Piggy Chops.

Early piggy- she suffered from Asthma and was very close to her dad. Her family affectionately called her Mimi.
 
Education- Piggy Chops did here schooling and graduation in many different places because her dad is working in Indian Army and he was moving frequently to many places.
Piggy started her education at La Martinière Girls College in Lucknow as a resident student; a short stay at Maria Goretti College in Bareilly prepared her for further studies in the USA.
Piggy completed tenth grade in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, she decided to become a software Engineer or a Criminal Psychologist.

she was surprised and did it mainly to take a break from studying. She came in second place at the Femina Miss India 2000 competition, winning the Femina Miss India World title.

Piggy entered to bollywood by the movie ''The Hero' then went on to act in over 28 movies, as well as lent her voice as a playback singer in 'Barsaat (2005)'. She has won 11 awards to date for her performance in 'Andaaz', 'Aitraaz', 'The Hero', 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi', & 'Krrish'.


Piggy likes- She enjoys Indian music and dance; flair for writing poetry and short stories; reading, especially biographies; and has worked for a lot of social-welfare programs.

she is the only Indian in the USA to have been selected at the state level for the National Opus Honor Choir, extensive charity work back in India and the USA, and joined the CAF and CII in their literacy program and is their ambassador. Member of the support group for the Thalassemic children in U.P., India, participated in
the adult education awareness program with the non-governmental organizations in the peripheral areas of Bareilly, joined the Indian Government-sponsored Polio Eradication Program as a volunteer. Raised funds for the destitute in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, by participating in a church program.

 
Priyanka Chopra became number 2 of 'Top Bollywood Actresses' of 2006.

Chopra is a trained western classical singer. In August 2011, she signed a worldwide recording agreement with Universal Music and Desi Hits to record and release her first music album.

The album will be released in North America with Desi Hits through Interscope Records and in other international markets on UK's Island Records. Her music career will be managed by Troy Carter chief executive officer of Atom Factory, who is also Lady Gaga's manager. The album, which will be produced by Universal Music Group and Desi Hits will contain about ten pop songs and will release worldwide, sometime in 2012. Chopra is currently writing and recording the album in English.


Priyanka Chopra became a television host with the Colors' reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi. She replaced actor Akshay Kumar who hosted the previous two seasons. The show, which premiered on 6 September 2010, beat the opening ratings of the previous two seasons.

Priyanka Chopra is a regular stage performer and has participated in various concerts and award ceremonies. She participated in a concert tour titled Temptations 2004which was the most successful Bollywood concert at the time. Chopra performed alongside other Bollywood actors and actresses, including Shahrukh Khan,Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta and Arjun Rampal in nineteen stage shows across the globe. She sang, danced and performed in skits.
























In 2011, Chopra along with Shahid Kapoor and Shahrukh Khan participated in the Friendship Concert, celebrating 150 years of India-South Africa friendship inDurban, South Africa. The concert, which promised to bring together the world of cricket and entertainment on a common platform, was hosted by actor Anil Kapoor.

Chopra's doll was dressed in a traditional Indian outfit.
